The development of judicial review as a means of regulating decision-makers of all kinds in recent decades, the establishment of the Scottish Parliament, and the coming into force of the Human Rights Act have greatly increased the need for reliable, effective and professional advocacy and advice about the law governing relations between the individual and the state and other organisations. The Hastie Stable contains a very substantial body of practitioners who can be relied upon to provide that service.
