Damages & Reparation

Actions for damages can arise in various different circumstances. The most obvious is perhaps a claim in respect of personal injuries suffered in an accident at work or elsewhere. Similar claims may arise out of medical negligence or as a result of criminal injuries. Claims can also arise out of contractual disputes or professional negligence, where the main claim for damages is not damage to the person. Claims may also be made on the basis of unjustified enrichment. Our advocates have considerable experience of providing advice and litigating on behalf of both pursuers and defenders in all areas of the law which may give rise to a claim for damages. They have experience of quantifying potential claims on the relevant basis and predicting likely outcomes. All our advocates can provide reliable advice on the appropriate procedures to be followed and what preparations will be required. Select from the headings to the left the area of law in which representation or advice is sought.
