Scotland Football Star David Goodwillie’s former agent has lost in the latest stage of his bid to sue the player for £400,000. Hastie Stable member Donald Davidson appeared on behalf of Goodwillie. On 21 December 2011 Lady Clark heard submissions and refused Mark Donaghy’s attempt to see details of the 22 year old striker’s contract with English Premier League side Blackburn Rovers.
Donaghy, who trades as Arena Sports Management, had claimed he needed access to the Rovers contract to see who else the striker had used and how much commission they had earned.
Donald Davidson argued that the star had made no agreement on fees with Donaghy and that the whole basis of the action was irrelevant. Lady Clark accepted his submissions and rejected the move to see details of the Rovers transaction.
