For the second year, Stable Deputy Director Michael Upton gave the opening talk at the Agricultural Law Association & W.S. Society's annual and well-attended Agricultural Law Conference in the Signet Library on 25 May.  The talk brought the audience up to date with developments in the courts of Scotland, England and Northern Ireland, including the striking down of part of the Agricultural Holdings (Scotland) Act 2003 by the Inner House in Salvesen v. Riddell, and cases on the establishment of agricultural tenancies, planning law, agricultural tax relief, partnership property, joint landlords, management agreements, rent reviews and subsidy appeals.
