HASTIE STABLE OF ADVOCATES SIX SHERIFFDOMS SEMINARS

The Hastie Stable in the Faculty of Advocates invites solicitors and counsel to the second tranche of 2013’s Six Sheriffdoms Seminars.

The 2013 Seminars are held in each of the six Sheriffdoms between April and September, updating practitioners in major fields of civil practice.

GLASGOW The Corinthian Club, 191 Ingram Street  Wednesday 11 September Professor Joe Thomson will speak on Liability in Negligence John Campbell Q.C. will give a Planning Update,  Keith Stewart Q.C. will give a Contract Law Update and updates about the latest developments in Employment Law, Insolvency, Reparation & Family Law will be given by Advocates Kenneth Gibson, Graeme Dalgleish & David McLean.

INVERNESS Glenmoriston Townhouse Hotel Monday 16 September Alan McLean Q.C. will present a Land Law Update, Andrew Brown Q.C. will talk about Road Traffic Law and updates about the latest developments in Employment Law and Family & Contract Law will be given by Advocates Alasdair Hardman, David Leighton & Michael Upton.

EDINBURGH CASTLE Friday 20 September Scottish Law Commissioner Laura Dunlop Q.C. will talk about forthcoming Law Reforms, Brian Napier Q.C. will give an Employment Law Update, Alan McLean Q.C. will present a Land Law Update and updates about the latest developments in Family Law, Reparation & Contract Law will be given by Advocates Alison Stirling, David McLean & Michael Upton.

Each seminar provides 5 hours’ C.P.D.

Registration for all seminars is from 9.30 a.m; the day will run from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.  Lunch is included.

2014’s Six Sheriffdoms Seminars in North Strathclyde, South Strathclyde, Dumfries & Galloway, and Tayside, Central & Fife will take place next April.
