EMPLOYMENT LAW IN THE CONTEXT OF INSOLVENCY SEMINAR - 15 JUNE 2012
On Friday, 15th June, the Hastie Stable Employment Law Group will be launched. The Group draws together a number of advocates with expertise in the field of employment law from within the stable. The group aims to provide seminars and talks on issues of interest to those involved in employment law. Its members each already provide a resource to practitioners for advice and representation in employment law cases. They aim to share their knowledge and experience with each other to strengthen and develop their expertise and skills in the field.
On 15th June the Group offers its first talk to specialised insolvency practitioners interested in employment issues relating to their field. The event forms an afternoon session complementing a morning of talks organised by the stable’s insolvency group on matters of wider and more general interest to insolvency practitioners.
In the afternoon Brian Napier QC and Alasdair Hardman will consider the worker issues which arise in an insolvency with two talks, the first dealing with general and perhaps unexpected issues, and the second dealing specifically with TUPE. The session is from 2 until 4 pm with a buffet lunch available before the event commences. A small number of places are still available. Contact the Stable clerks for details.
