Areas of Practice

Craig was called to the English bar in 2001.  Following pupillage in Chancery chambers in Lincoln’s Inn, he moved into practice as an employed barrister and spent most of his in-house career with life offices and fund management companies based in Edinburgh.  He commenced independent practice at the Scots bar in 2010. 

He has a strong background in general commercial work as well as more specialist knowledge of life insurance, pensions and investment funds.  His funds work has involved a significant international element.  Craig has wide experience of advising at senior management and board level within industry. He is known for his pragmatic and solutions-focussed approach and for his ability to place legal and regulatory issues firmly within their wider commercial context.

Craig is also a door tenant at 9 Stone Buildings in Lincoln’s Inn, London and holds a full English practising certificate.  This means he is able to advise on matters of both Scots and English law.
