Having served his apprenticeship with Edinburgh solicitors Brodies WS, Siggi devilled to leading Counsel James McGhie and Nigel Emslie. He was called to the Bar in 1982 and has been continuously in practice ever since. Siggi’s main area of work at present is in the field of Personal Injury. He is the author of a loose-leaf textbook on the subject (‘Personal Injury Damages in Scotland’). Siggi’s practice also extends to a wide range of other civil work and he has appeared before virtually all Courts, Tribunals and Inquiries over the past quarter of a century or so. He is experienced and versatile.

Siggi is the author of a number of authoritative legal textbooks, which includes ‘Divorce & Dissolution of Civil Partnership in the Sheriff Court – Ninth Edition’. These are considered to be very accessible and highly practical. Siggi brings these attributes to his practice at the Bar
