Since calling at the Bar Stuart has had a varied Civil Practice. He has acted for the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland in cases involving interpretation of the Land Registration (Scotland) Act 1979. He has also acted for the Government on numerous occasions in cases pertaining to Disqualification of Company Directors, Appeals to the Social Security Commissioners and in several Planning Inquiries.

Stuart has a particular interest in Conveyancing, both Domestic and Commercial. As a solicitor in private practice specialising in Conveyancing prior to calling to the Bar he has a good understanding of the problems experienced in the course of Conveyancing transactions. Whilst practising at the Bar Stuart has gained considerable experience of Neighbourhood Disputes, including Boundary Disputes and those relating to Water Rights etc.

He has a calm and collected manner. This coupled with very considerable experience and a pragmatic approach to resolving disputes make him a thorough and dependable Counsel.
