After graduating from Edinburgh University in 1983, Laura trained in Edinburgh with Balfour and Manson. She then served for 2 years as Reporter to the Children’s Panel.

Laura is experienced in a wide range of Civil Litigation and has long standing experience of all kinds of Personal Injury work. She currently practises mainly in Medical Negligence and Administrative Law. Whilst at the Bar she has been involved in a number of Public Inquiries – including Dunblane and the Fraser Inquiry into the cost of building the Scottish Parliament.
