As a solicitor with Falkirk Council for three and a half years Andrew gained extensive experience in Child Law, Housing Law and Mental Health Law. He was particularly involved in the area of Antisocial Behaviour being an active member of the Antisocial Behaviour Lawyers Forum.

 

In the earlier part of his career Andrew worked for both personal injury and criminal law firms and gained a wide-range of experience in civil and criminal Sheriff Court work.

 

In 2008 Andrew was awarded the Masters in Medical Law from the University of Glasgow. His dissertation was on the subject of pre-birth injury and the law. He  is now pursuing a PhD looking at the interaction between the Human Rights of pregnant women and the child welfare principle.

 

He is contributing editor to the Scottish Human Rights Group website in the areas of Medical Law and Housing and Homelessness.
