Prior to studying law and undertaking her Bar traineeship with East Dunbartonshire Council Linda held a senior managerial and directorate position in a Scottish local authority, during which time she was involved in the preparation of what were probably the two most significant equal pay cases decided by the Judicial Committee of the House of Lords in the 1990s. She is vastly experienced in all areas of Employment and Education Law and has appeared in Employment Tribunals throughout Scotland, the Employment Appeal Tribunal, the Outer House and the Inner House of the Court of Session. Her previous employment means that she has had invaluable first hand experience of many of the issues, particularly employment issues, arising in local authorities and has both advised and appeared for a significant number of Scottish Councils. Outwith the public sector Linda has also appeared for private sector clients, from small and medium size enterprises to large corporations, including Coca~Cola and Shell (UK). Further having held a pilots licence, including a Flying Instructor Rating for over 20 years, Linda has a knowledge of, and interest in, Aviation Law.
