After completing a Bar Traineeship at Brodies in Edinburgh, Kirsty then devilled to Andrew Webster and Peter Hammond, before calling to the Bar in 2001.

Kirsty has a general civil practice (undertaking opinion and appearance work in Reparation, Commercial, Property and Executry cases) and enjoys the variety which that entails. She does, however, have particular expertise, and interest, in cross-border issues. She is the author of the recently published work, "Conflict of Laws Within the UK".

Kirsty is a particularly hard working and reliable member of the Scottish Bar. She possesses good judgement and ability to deal with difficult problems and come up with a strategy to solve them. Her approachable and friendly nature means that she maintains a good relationship with those who instruct her.
