John qualified as a Social Worker and dealt with Children and Family cases, Adoption and Fostering and Child Hearings. He then qualified in law and practiced as a Solicitor before calling to the Bar in 1989. John was Junior Counsel in the Orkney Inquiry. Since then he has gained experience in a wide range of Civil work.
He is a Family Law specialist with extensive experience in all aspects of Family Law including Divorce, Adoption, Child Residence and Contact cases and Children’s Referrals. He is instructed to represent the interests of both local authorities and private individuals.
He has an interest in Education Law and Mental Health and is the editor for the section dealing with Adults with Incapacity in Mays Social Work Legislation, published by Greens.
